Prof Rappaport is teaching the Introduction to Electrical Engineering course for first year ECE students. His lecture will be every Wednesday from 2:00 to 3:20PM in 2 Metro Tech, Room 911. His office hours for spring 2024 are every Wednesday from 3:30 to 5:00PM in 370 Jay Street, Room 907. The syllabus for this course can be viewed and downloaded here.

New textbook on wireless communications released for spring 2024
Prof. Rappaport is pleased to announce the updated 2nd edition of the classic text “Wireless Communications: Principles and Practice”, to be published by Cambridge University Press in January 2024. The new updated edition contains new homework problems, updates on 4G and 5G global standards development, and corrections of many typos throughout the text. The text comes complete with on-line instructor materials and a solutions manual. See Cambridge Publications for more on this text.
Online Classes
Professor Ted Rappaport’s 2-day online course, slides and eBook are available. Previously recorded by IEEE Com Soc, the course covers the fundamental communications, circuits, antennas and propagation issues surrounding emerging millimeter wave (mmWave) cellular/backhaul and 60 GHz wireless LAN.
The course is available on the O’Reilly learning platform (subscription required) or for purchase through Pearson.
