NYU WIRELESS Workshop Convened in January
The fourth NYU WIRELESS Workshop was held on January 20-21, 2026 on the Brooklyn campus. The object of the two-day event was to bring together the foremost wireless researchers for a free exchange of ideas.
The theme of the Workshop was “Twenty Years of Massive MIMO: What’s Next?” The Workshop was organized in sessions around three topics:
- Massive MIMO: What has it done for wireless service? What more can it do?
- RF engineering: Not your grandparents’ technology
- Innovations in computation: Enough to drive a new generation?
Organized by Elza Erkip of NYU WIRELESS, Tom Marzetta of the University of Maryland, Liesbet Van der Perre of KU Leuven, and Petar Popovski of Aalborg University, the Workshop attracted a group of prestigious global academic and industry professional attendees.
