Shu Sun wins Marconi Society Young Scholar Award

Congratulations to NYU WIRELESS PhD student Shu Sun, a winner of the 2017 Marconi Society Paul Baran Young Scholar Award. The Society cited her substantial work in 5G mmWave communications and her leadership skills as the reasons for the honor. Dr. Rappaport applauded Shu’s “ability to change minds and lead the world to completely new approaches that were once thought impossible or untenable.”

NYU WIRELESS is now home to two Paul Baran Young Scholar Award winners, as Shu joins last year’s recipient George MacCartney in receiving this honor.
