Biden-Harris Administration Awards Wireless Innovation Fund Grant to Sundeep Rangan & Team

An NYU Tandon team led by Professor and Associate Director NYU WIRELESS Sundeep Rangan (ECE) received one of the first three grants awarded from the new Public Wireless Supply Chain Innovation Fund, a federal CHIPs Act program run by the U.S. Department of Commerce’s National Telecommunications and Information Administration to support the development of open and interoperable 5G and future generation cellular technologies. “This project seeks to develop testing and evaluation procedures for next-generation cellular wireless systems in the upper mid-band, a promising new frequency range that has attracted considerable interest from wireless carriers,” said Rangan.
